A leading insurance business is seeking a Head of ESG for a fixed term contract until May 2025, you can work remotely with occasion travel to their Head Office.
The current Head of ESG is moving internally on secondment to Group HQ and will be accessible for a hand over and support, you will be responsible for the UK’s sustainability operations, delivery of the ESG strategy and reporting, stakeholder management and partnerships.
Key duties will include:
Implementing the ESG strategy and net zero action plan.
Ensuring robust measurement frameworks are in place for reporting across the business including carbon footprinting.
Manage data collection and reporting for rating agencies and benchmarks.
Lead the ESG Committee and development of policies and processes.
Develop ESG programmes to drive, awareness, engagement and commitment throughout the business.
Provide leadership and advice across the business’ on key sustainability initiatives.
Work with key stakeholders to enhance their understanding and awareness on sustainability.
Candidates should have:
Proven track record implementing an ESG strategy and reporting in a regulated industry, ideally insurance or financial services.
Good experience of ESG reporting, creation of annual sustainability reports, GHG protocol and TCFD.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Successful experience of meeting business targets and aligning results to business requirements.
Good commercial acumen, awareness of the financial and commercial impacts, both long- and short-term, on the business’s financial performance, and the influence of these on an evolving ESG strategy.
Our client is seeking someone who can start immediately and will consider candidates in an ESG Manager position seeking a step up to Head of ESG.
This is a purpose lead business that aims to build a future around sustainability. The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of between £80,000 and £100,000 based on skills, plus good benefits.
